Junknot Founder Wilhelmina Garcia believes that you and me - regardless of age, gender, or race - is the key in solving plastic waste pollution in the world. Her idea led to creating the “Ikaw at Ako” Chair. Improper waste management affects a lot of animals, the environment, and human health. Instead of extracting our natural resources, burning or dumping plastic in the ocean, why not find creative ways in transforming waste materials into functional items. A total of 4kgs of plastic waste was saved/used for each chair. All plastic wastes are properly collected, cleaned and manually twined by a partner community in San Nicolas. The chair frame is an industrial steel bar made out of recycled materials
